AUROBINDO INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, JAIPURINTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION 2026Date: 21 June 2026


The 12th International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at
Aurobindo International School on 21 June 2026. The theme for this year was
“Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
The programme was organised from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM in the school
premises. Around 45 students of Classes VI to XII, 51 teachers, and nonteaching staff actively participated in the event.
The programme commenced with a prayer followed by an address by the Hon.
Director, Dr Bharat Prashar, Principal, Ms Karuna Nagpal, highlighting the
importance of yoga in maintaining physical fitness, mental well-being, and a
healthy lifestyle. A trained yoga instructor guided the participants through
various yoga asanas and breathing exercises, including Tadasana,
Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, Pranayama, and Meditation.
The school regularly organises yoga sessions throughout the year, in which
students, parents, teachers, and staff members actively participate. These
sessions help promote physical fitness, mental wellness, and a balanced
lifestyle. However, International Yoga Day holds special significance as it is
celebrated across the country and brings people together in a collective
commitment towards health and well-being. Being a part of this nationwide
celebration instilled a sense of unity, discipline, and awareness among all
participants.
The event concluded with the National Anthem and a pledge by all participants
to practice yoga regularly.
