Report on In-House Workshop on Critical and Creative Thinking

An in-house workshop on “Critical and Creative Thinking” was conducted for the teaching faculty on 23rd June by our respected Principal, Ms. Karuna Nagpal.

The workshop was highly engaging, insightful, and enriching. Through a variety of thoughtfully designed activities, the Principal emphasized the importance of developing critical and creative thinking skills in the teaching-learning process. The session encouraged teachers to explore innovative approaches to classroom instruction, problem-solving, and decision-making.

One of the highlights of the workshop was the series of interactive ice-breaker activities conducted at the beginning of the session. These activities created a positive and energetic learning environment, fostered teamwork, and motivated teachers to participate enthusiastically throughout the workshop.

The practical exercises and discussions enabled the teachers to gain new perspectives and learn effective strategies for nurturing creativity and critical thinking among students. The workshop inspired all participants to reflect on their teaching practices and adopt more engaging and student-centred methodologies.

Overall, the workshop proved to be extremely productive and beneficial. It was highly appreciated by all the teachers, who found the session inspiring, informative, and relevant to their professional growth. Mother’s Day Celebration

A mother’s love is the purest form of care, strength and inspiration. To honour and celebrate this special bond, Aurobindo International School joyfully celebrated Mother’s Day on 8th May with great enthusiasm and warmth.

The event was filled with delightful performances, heartfelt expressions, and joyful moments dedicated to all the wonderful mothers. Our students expressed their gratitude and love through songs, dances, speeches and creative activities that made the occasion truly memorable. The event left a sweet and cherished memory for everybody present.

Labour Day Celebration at Aurobindo International School

Inter-school Basketball Competition

An inter-school basketball tournament was successfully organised at the Emanuel School, Jhotwara from 21st April to 23rd April bringing together talented students from various schools across the city. The three-day event witnessed energetic participations, sportsmanship and teamwork among young players. The tournament was played among the 15 teams.

The team from Aurobindo International School, Sirsi Road played with great zest and zeal and tremendous sportsmanship under the Coach Mr. Ram Singh Shekhawat. The team defeated Alpha International School in the quarter final and Rainbow School in the semi-final to reach the final. The final was against the host. Both the team played with excellent spirit and the team stood runner-up.

The effort of the team was acknowledged and awarded by the Director Mr. Bharat Prashar, Co-Director Aditya Raj Prashar and Principal Ms. Karuna Nagpal.

Aurobindo International School Celebrates Earth Day with Enthusiasm and Purpose

Aurobindo International School proudly celebrated Earth Day with great zeal and meaningful activities, fostering environmental awareness among its Foundation Year students. The celebration aimed to instill gentle and responsible habits in young learners, encouraging them to care for the planet.

As part of the event, a lively rally was organized where children, dressed beautifully in green attire, spreading messages about the importance of protecting the environment. Through slogans and participation, they highlighted key values such as planting trees, saving water and electricity, keeping surroundings clean, and reducing the use of plastic by promoting reuse and recycling.

The celebration also incorporated Green Day, during which students brought saplings and actively participated in a plantation drive. This hands-on activity helped them understand the significance of nurturing nature from an early age.

The event was further enriched by the presence of a Guest of Honour, who graciously distributed refreshments to the children. The school expressed heartfelt gratitude for their presence and support.

The Principal and Director of the school highly appreciated the initiative taken by the Foundation Year classes and commended the efforts of both students and teachers in making the event impactful and memorable. The Earth Day celebration at Aurobindo International School was a wonderful step towards shaping environmentally conscious future citizens.

Special Programme organised at Aurobindo International School on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti

Today, Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary was celebrated with great zeal at Aurobindo International School. On this occasion, a special prayer assembly was organised in the school campus, in which students and teachers participated enthusiastically.

The programme began with garlanding and offering flowers to Dr. Ambedkar’s portrait. In her address, the school Principal Ms. Karuna Nagpal highlighted Dr. Ambedkar’s life, his struggles, and his invaluable contribution to the making of the Indian Constitution. She inspired the students to adopt his ideals and understand the importance of education.

Executive Director Mr. Aditya Raj Prashar also shared his views, stating that Dr. Ambedkar’s life inspires us to remain aware of equality, justice, and rights. He called upon the students to take a pledge to bring positive change in society.

On this occasion, students presented speeches, poetry recitations, and cultural programmes, through which Dr. Ambedkar’s thoughts and contributions were effectively showcased.

Aurobindo International School Hosts Workshop on ”Storytelling As Pedagogy”

On March 24, 2026, Aurobindo International School, Sirsi Road, organized a workshop on the topic “Storytelling As Pedagogy”. Telling a story engages the audience in a unique way. It gives the students a lively approach to communicate what they have learnt.

The event commenced with a Saraswati Poojan and lamp lighting ceremony, led by our Executive Director Mr. Aditya Raj Prashar, Co-Director Mrs. Shalini Prashar, Principal Ms. Karuna Nagpal.

The workshop featured CBSE Resource Persons, Ms. Bhawna Chaudhary, Principal, Sine International School, Jaipur and Dr. Puneet Krishna Sharma, TGT, Dharav High School, Jaipur, who addressed the teachers and emphasized that the main aim of the storyteller is to enlighten, engage, and entertain their audience. 

During her address, Ms. Bhawna Chaudhary highlighted the importance of teacher involvement, stating that stories impact the mind of students and get imprinted for life leaving an everlasting impact in the long run.

Echoing this sentiment, the resource person reiterated that sories will stay with people much longer than facts or statistics. If a teacher becomes an excellent storyteller, he or she can ensure that any concept taught will be remembered for years to come.

Teachers engaged enthusiastically in the workshop, gaining valuable insights into contemporary educational methodologies.

The event concluded with Principal Ms. Karuna Nagpal extending her gratitude to the esteemed speakers by presenting them with saplings as a token of appreciation.

Blessing Ceremony and Farewell Celebration at AurobindoInternational School

Aurobindo International School organized a heartfelt Blessing Ceremony for the
students of Grade XII on 6th February, followed by a grand Farewell
Celebration on 7th February.
The Blessing Ceremony was a solemn and emotional occasion where the
students sought the blessings of the Almighty, their teachers, and parents before
appearing for their board examinations. The school campus was filled with
positivity and prayers for the bright future of the outgoing batch. The Principal
addressed the students with inspiring words, encouraging them to stay
confident, focused, and determined in their pursuits. Teachers also shared their
best wishes and valuable advice for success in life.
On 7th February, the school hosted a vibrant Farewell Ceremony to bid
goodbye to the Grade XII students. The program began with a warm welcome,
followed by cultural performances including dances, songs, and fun games
organized by the juniors. The outgoing students shared their memorable
experiences and expressed gratitude towards their mentors and friends. Titles
were awarded to students, adding excitement and joy to the celebration.
The event concluded on an emotional note as the students reminisced about
their beautiful journey at the school. The school’s Executive Director Mr Aditya
Raj Prashar, Principal Ms Karuna Nagpal,Vice Principal Ms Ritu Sharma and
teachers extended their heartfelt wishes for the success and bright future of the
Grade XII batch, reminding them that they will always remain a cherished part
of the school family.

Republic Day Celebrations at Aurobindo International School


Aurobindo International School celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor, paying rich tribute to India’s heritage and constitutional values. The event highlighted the significance of the Constitution and the Heritage Act, reminding students of their responsibility towards preserving the nation’s rich cultural legacy.
The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the soulful rendition of the National Anthem, filling the campus with pride and unity. Students actively participated in the programme, showcasing vibrant North Indian cultural dances and patriotic songs that reflected the spirit of freedom, sacrifice, and national harmony.
The beautifully curated performances by all the four Houses Daisy, Carnation, Daffodil and Iris captivated the audience and reinforced the importance of unity in diversity. The programme successfully blended cultural heritage with patriotic भावना, making it both educational and inspiring.
The event concluded with an inspiring address by the School’s Executive Director, Mr Aditya Raj Prashar and Principal Ms. Karuna Nagpal. In their speeches, they emphasized the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution, the importance of discipline, integrity, and respect for the nation’s heritage, encouraging students to become responsible and proud citizens of India.Trophies were distributed to all prize winners.
